Globally, Rugby is the fastest growing sport, played by 3.5 million men, woman and children. The next Rugby World Cup with be hosted by England in 2015, whilst 2016 will see its return to the Olympic Games. The Cyprus National Rugby Team have had a very successful start since their debut in 2007; they have only lost one game and they have won back to back promotions over the last 4 years. In the European Nations Cup 2010/12  they scored more points than any other team (474). They conceded less than any other team (51), they scored more tries than any other team (72) and they had the biggest winning margin in European Rugby in the last 4 years (94-3). 
The 2012/14 Seasons have seen the team go from strength to strength another 6 wins; scoring more tries than any other team in European competition (36), we
have the best points difference (190) and holds 3 world records in international rugby:
Most consecutive wins (21 - ongoing), most consecutive wins with 4 tries or more (11), most consecutive wins by greater than a converted try (14) and we have scored a total of 1087 points and only conceded 183 in our 24 games.

Beside the efforts of the National XV; our Sevens team have had regular success across Europe, currently rank 17th (the only "small" nation to compete at that level), we enter two European competitions each season and have previously entered teams in UK based tournaments as well as the internationally renowned Dubai Sevens.
This young, emerging and progressive rugby nation is still in its infancy but we are attracting more and more attention around the rugby world. Marketing opportunities are endless.

We regularly receive Cypriot Press coverage in both Greek and English newspapers, worldwide TV coverage through our appearance on the IRB Total Rugby programme on a number of occasions; national and international magazine coverage,
a large feature in the November 2012 edition of Rugby World, the World's Best Selling Rugby Magazine, features on Cyprus Rugby have
appeared in SA Rugby, the largest selling rugby magazine in South Africa, as well as NZ Rugby World. More recently, AFP, the French News Broadcaster, did an article that was circulated around the world. We have appeared on the Sky Sports and ESPN Scrum websites with major articles on our progress to date as well as attracting very favourable comment on numerous rugby blogs worldwide.  Our home matches are covered live by LTV as well on a worldwide streaming package.

We have wide social networking coverage; FacebookTwitter, as well as a well established website A match featuring Cyprus Rugby recently had nearly 19,000 hits on YOUTUBE.

CRF representatives have attended the Cyprus Wine Festival in London in 2011, 2012 and 2013 to help raise the profile of the sport - the event boasts an annual attendance of over 20,000 people.
