Cyprus Rugby attended the Rugby Europe Men's Sevens Conference 1 2022 tournament on 4 & 5 June in Belgrade, Serbia. The team put on an impressive performance to win 3/5 games against Turkey, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Finland. Out of the 12 teams that participated, Cyprus finished the tournament ranking 9th.
We would like to extend a special thank you to George Agathokleous, team Coach, Steve Wrigglesworth, team manager, and Rafael Alexandrou, team Physiotherapist, for guiding, assisting and supporting the squad in Serbia. We now look forward to the next tournament and building on the development that has already begun.
